Section 62(3) of the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011 requires that where the activity occurs over an area where a Customary Marine Title has been applied for, the applicant must notify and seek the views of the group who have applied for the Customary Marine Title prior to applying for resource consent. Prior to lodging resource consent for any activities in the coastal marine area, please ensure that consultation with all Customary Marine Title Group applicants who have applied for a title over the coastal marine area that may be affected by the application is undertaken. Coastal Permit - General (Form 12)
Use this form for all activities within the coastal marine area.
For moorings use Form 12A; and for boatsheds, jetties, slipways etc - use Form 12B

Coastal Permit - Mooring (Form 12A)
Use this form for applications to occupy the coastal marine area with new and existing moorings.

Coastal Permit - Boatsheds, jetties, Slipways etc (Form 12B)
Use this form for applications to occupy the coastal marine area with existing structures.

Permitted Transfer of Swing Mooring (Form 12C)
Notice of Transfer of Swing Mooring Location under Permitted Activity Rule 8.5.1.3 of the Regional Plan: Coast).

Application to discharge contaminants to land (Form 6)
Use this form if you wish to discharge contaminants to land.

For domestic wastewater discharges to land use Form 6A. 
Application to discharge from contaminated sites use Form 18.

Application to discharge wastewater to land (Form 6A)
Use this form if you wish to discharge domestic-type sewage or wastewater to land. E.g. from households or small-scale commercial operations (this includes motels, campgrounds, tearooms, restaurants and public toilets).

Application to discharge Water or contaminants to water (Form 7)
Use this form if you wish to discharge contaminants to water. 
For discharges of farm effluent use Form 7A. 
For discharges resulting from instream gravel extractions use Form 14.

Use this form if you are seeking to discharge contaminants to air from combustion processes within the Otago Region including the Coastal Marine Area. This includes incinerators and boilers but excludes domestic fires and outdoor burning.

Use this form if you are seeking to discharge contaminants to air from quarry or mining activities within the Otago Region.

Use these forms if you wish to extract gravel from the bed of a watercourse. Form 14B should be used for small or one off gravel extraction applications where a term of less than two years is sought

Use this online application form (you will be taken to another website) if you need consent for Intensive Winter Grazing (IWG) under the National Environmental Standards for Freshwater.

The application form has been designed for consent terms of generally 3-5 years.

If you want longer than this then you can still use this form, you may just need to include more property specific information in the assessment of effects and policy assessment section.

Getting ready to apply for your IWG Consent

You should set aside a couple of hours to fill in the form, with most of your time being spent on the grazing plan.

Before you apply for your consent, there are a few things you may want to have had a look at, or have handy. These are:

• Farm maps and plans
• Legal descriptions for the blocks of your farm you plan to graze
• A copy of your intensive winter grazing plan, or a template to complete

Land Use Consent to construct a bore or drill over an aquifer (Form 9A)
Use this form if you wish to construct, drill or alter a bore or well, or if you wish to dredge, dig, pile drive over an aquifer (including drilling for geological investigation, drilling for geotechnical investigation or drilling for groundwater investigation).
